Established in 1976 by sixteen
founding members, Tau
Beta Phi Confraternity is the interdisciplinary coed honor confraternity
of Batangas State University and the university first fraternal
organization.
Traditions are prized jewels of a fraternal
organization. They give every member sources of common reference and
understanding. At their best, they remind us about the meaning and value of
brotherhood and inspire us to live up to our high ideals.
VISION
The confraternity vision is to realize a
fruitful,
productive and vibrant student life in all
schools and universities having a character, high sense
of responsibility and living uprightly in society
MISSION
Confraternity mission is to have a meaningful,
lasting and fulfilling relationships with ourselves and others; to bring honor
and to raise the dignity of every individual to reach our true potential in
order to effect change and provide solutions to the perennial problems of our
school, community and country.
CORE VALUES
Brotherhood - Trust,
respect, cooperation, companionship, and aid to brother/sister members is
the expected norm.
Knowledge - Education and experience,
whether gained in the classroom or the workplace, is emphasized and shared.
Integrity - All actions, whether in
business or in life are guided by honesty, ethics, and fairness.
Service - Sharing time, talent and treasure
with both communities and with our organization is a
priority.
Unity - A common understanding of our
vision and values.
SPIRITUALITY
Although no
allegiance to a particular religion is required for membership in Tau Beta
Phi, we highly regard and mutually encourage and support the religious
convictions and commitments of our brothers. The principles of Tau Beta Phi,
are in conflict with no true religious tradition. They give us a guide for
daily realignment in our lives. Brotherhood demands sharing. Theological
discussions should be a part of chapter life. Brothers should feel comfortable
about sharing their beliefs and feel obligated to listen with respect to the
beliefs of others. In this way, we expand in our understanding of others and
grow in our own spiritual commitments. |
